Same seven-day underground tour of Tokyo's car culture — arrange your own flights or join us straight from Japan.
The same hand-built Tokyo experience as our flagship, minus the international flights. You arrive in Tokyo on your own schedule — already living in Japan, on a longer trip, or simply preferring to book your own airfare — and we take it from your Tokyo hotel onwards.
Day one starts with a hosted welcome dinner in Shibuya, then seven days inside the underground world of Japanese performance culture: midnight meets at Daikoku, the famous Hakone mountain roads, the views of Mt. Fuji, and private access to the garages most visitors never see.
Accommodation, on-tour transfers, drives, and host support are all included.

Make your own way to your 4★ Tokyo hotel — arrival flight details shared with us in advance. Welcome dinner in Shibuya with your host and group that evening.
Visits to Japan's most famous tuning garages and JDM parts shops. Afternoon free to explore Harajuku and Akihabara.
The legendary Daikoku Parking Area meet. Cruise the Wangan with local enthusiasts and witness Tokyo's underground car scene up close.
Full-day scenic drive through the Hakone mountain roads and out to the Mt. Fuji viewpoints in your chosen car. Lake Ashi lunch, onsen recovery in the evening.
A relaxed day to explore Tokyo your own way — optional self-guided visits to car meccas like Super Autobacs and Up Garage, shopping in Ginza and Harajuku, or simply rest before the final drive. Your host is on hand for recommendations.
Private visit to a collector's JDM garage — the cars most enthusiasts only ever see in magazines. Farewell dinner with the group to close out the week.
Final breakfast and tour wrap-up at your hotel. Onward travel arranged on your own schedule.

The flagship package includes return flights from Australia plus 4★ accommodation, hosted activities including midnight car meets at Daikoku, Hakone mountain drives, a Mt. Fuji scenic drive, visits to famous tuning garages, and all on-tour transport. The Tour-Only package is identical on the ground but without flights — designed for guests already in Japan or who prefer to book their own airfare.

All drivers must be at least 21 years old on the tour start date and hold a valid International Driver's Licence (IDP) issued in their home country. The IDP must be valid for the full duration of the tour. You'll acknowledge these requirements as part of the booking process.
Yes. An International Driver's Licence (IDP) is a legal requirement to drive in Japan. Apply through your country's automobile association (e.g. in Australia this is typically AAA or RACV/NRMA/RACQ) well before travel. Without a valid IDP you will not be permitted to drive on tour.
Yes. Each driving activity on the tour — the Daikoku midnight meet and the Hakone mountain drive — lets you select a different vehicle from the full fleet for that activity. Pick your vehicle per activity during booking; final assignment is confirmed based on availability for your date.
No. Many activities are passenger friendly and we also organise transport and hosted experiences so everyone can enjoy the tour regardless of driving experience.
You'll have the chance to experience iconic JDM cars such as Nissan GT-Rs, Toyota Supras, RX-7s, Lancer Evos and other legendary Japanese performance vehicles — all depending on availability and activity.
You can book online directly — choose your package (flights included or tour-only), select your date, pick a vehicle for each driving activity, enter your details, and pay either a deposit to secure your spot or the full tour amount upfront. Stripe handles all payments securely. Once paid, you'll receive an automatic confirmation email with your welcome package and a participation contract to sign. If you book the tour-only package, we also send a follow-up email asking for your passport details, travel insurance proof, and flight details (if you're flying in), along with our recommended airlines and insurers.
